The Kracher Winery represents a dynasty of innovation in Austrian winemaking. Wine Magazine has honored Alois Kracher with the coveted “Winemaker of the Year” title an impressive seven times! Their Pinot Gris is one of the best in our set, and quickly became my go to recommendation at this price point. With acacia floral notes, golden apple, pineapple, slight herbaceous hints on the nose, and a palate that offers tangerine, honeysuckle, pineapple, honeydew melon, and meyer lemon, it’s not hard to fall in love with this bottle. The mouthwatering acidity is begging for a meal, so try a glass alongside fresh vegetables, grilled golden apple and brie flatbread, or chicken piccata. Cheers! – Jamie
